My name is Erin Atkinson and I am a Licensed Certified Social Worker – Clinical.  I have 15 years of experience working in the mental health field, and completed my MSW at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa in 2013.  I am a  Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, Brainspotting practitioner,  trauma informed yoga teacher, and integrative medicine for mental health practitioner.  I trained with the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) in the MDMA-Assisted Therapy program, and provide psychedelic support to clients around preparation, integration, and microdosing.  I have a holistic orientation to healing which includes the mind, body, spirit, community and environment.  I believe that all minds and bodies have an innate capacity to heal, and that therapy offers the opportunity to process the trauma and programming which so commonly inhibit this healing potential.  As a Clinical Supervisor, I will support you in uncovering your inherent gifts, strengths, and authentic voice so that you may better support your clients.  I will guide you in exploring and building your toolbox of skills, modalities and interventions that align with your theoretical orientation.  Just as importantly, I will provide a safe and solid container for reflection, processing, and moving through transference and countertransference.  I believe that through building each other up as clinicians and colleagues, we can create a rich network of clinicians to support our local communities in Hawai'i.
