This post-licensure case consultation group is designed as a grounded, supportive, and professionally enriching space for therapists who want a trusted community where they can thoughtfully explore clinical challenges, celebrate meaningful client progress, and deepen their clinical confidence. The intention is to create a psychologically safe container where licensed professionals can bring real-world cases, receive reflective feedback, and feel less alone in the complexity of clinical work. This group emphasizes curiosity, collaboration, and mutual respect while honoring each therapist’s autonomy and clinical voice.

Brief Summary of the Group

This consultation group offers a structured yet relational environment where licensed clinicians come together to strengthen case conceptualization skills, expand clinical perspectives, and build meaningful professional connection. It blends reflective dialogue, peer consultation, experiential learning, and individualized processing to support both professional growth and personal sustainability in the work.

What This Group Provides

  • A confidential, supportive space for discussing challenging clinical situations

  • Collaborative case consultation with trusted peers

  • Opportunities to celebrate “big wins” and therapeutic breakthroughs

  • Insight from multiple theoretical lenses and lived clinical experience

  • A sense of community and reduction of professional isolation

  • Reflective practice that supports ethical and thoughtful decision-making

What We Will Explore Together

Together we will explore:

  • Complex case dynamics and stuck points

  • Therapist countertransference, process, and use of self

  • Clinical decision-making and intervention choices

  • Ethical considerations and boundaries in real practice contexts

  • Integration of modalities and approaches (e.g., somatic, relational, experiential, evidence-based, etc.)

  • Therapist resilience, sustainability, and growth through shared reflection

Who This Group Is Designed For

This group is intended for post-licensed therapists and experienced clinicians who:

  • Are actively working with clients and want deeper professional support

  • Value collaborative learning and peer feedback

  • Desire a safe, non-hierarchical consultation space

  • Are looking for community with other trusted professionals

  • Want to refine their clinical voice and confidence beyond supervision

What Is Case Conceptualization?

Case conceptualization helps therapists step back from the moment-to-moment work and see the larger clinical landscape. Within this group, we approach conceptualization through three core ideas:

  • Seeing the Whole System: Understanding the client’s story through biopsychosocial, relational, cultural, and contextual lenses.

  • Linking Pattern to Intervention: Identifying themes and mechanisms that inform purposeful treatment planning.

  • Using the Therapist as Instrument: Reflecting on therapist reactions, resonance, and relational dynamics as valuable clinical data.

Group Purpose & Benefits

The purpose of this consultation group is to strengthen clinicians through shared wisdom, reflective practice, and professional belonging. Key benefits include:

  • Expanded Perspective: Gain new clinical insights and creative approaches from peers.

  • Increased Confidence: Clarify decision-making and feel more grounded in complex cases.

  • Sustained Professional Wellness: Reduce isolation and increase connection to a community of supportive colleagues.

Discussion Structure

Each meeting follows a clear, supportive flow that balances structure with flexibility:

  • Case Presentation: One or more clinicians present a case, dilemma, or success they wish to explore.

  • Group Exploration: Collaborative discussion, reflective feedback, and multi-lens inquiry.

  • Experiential / Reflective Activity: A brief practice, somatic check-in, or experiential exercise to deepen integration and awareness.

  • Individualized Processing: Time for participants to reflect on how the discussion connects to their own clinical work and growth.

  • Each session concludes with intentional integration—highlighting key takeaways, insights, and practical applications participants can bring directly back into their clinical practice. The closing emphasizes grounding, professional encouragement, and identifying one actionable insight or intention to carry forward.
