Mike Alberts, MFT-A
You are not alone! Mental health challenges, relationship struggles, addiction, or just being stuck can feel overwhelming and exhausting. There is a way forward—and you don’t have to navigate this path by yourself.
I work with both couples and individuals navigating challenges that disrupt connection, stability, and a sense of direction. For couples, this may include communication breakdowns, conflict, emotional disconnection, and issues related to trust, intimacy, parenting, or differing values and goals. For individuals, I
support those facing stress from life transitions and personal challenges in areas such as relationships, family roles, health, or career. Together, we identify patterns, strengthen communication and emotional regulation skills, and build resilience, creating a collaborative and supportive space where you can move forward with greater clarity, grounding, and confidence toward more fulfilling relationships and a stronger sense of well-being.
My approach is eclectic and tailored, rooted primarily in Solution-Oriented Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Narrative Therapy. I am also a CRAFT Certified Therapist, offering specialized support for families navigating the complexities of a loved one’s substance use.
Before becoming a therapist, I followed a unique path that deeply informs my work today. After six years practicing law, I felt called to serve in a different way and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 2005, where I served for seven years. That journey reshaped my understanding of purpose, resilience, and human connection,
ultimately leading me to the field of mental health and substance use recovery. It’s within this work that I found my true calling—supporting individuals, couples and families in reclaiming their lives and strengthening their relationships.
